Laura's life would be utterly transformed by a lung transplant.

Laura has cystic fibrosis and has been waiting for a lung transplant since 2018.

She says: "There are always mixed emotions, especially depending on how you feel on each day.

"It is a very scary experience and some days I am glad to be on the list and know that I need a transplant but, on some days, I am more scared and apprehensive as it is a life-changing procedure and event and you never know when you will get that call.

"It is always in the back of my mind and sometimes it does come to the forefront. I always have to have my phone on me and have it on loud as I don’t know when the call is coming. I have to stay relatively close to Manchester so if I do get a call I can get to the hospital as soon as possible.

"When I’m feeling more unwell it plays on my mind a lot more, but I try and stay focused on my business which has helped me a lot.

A transplant would make an absolutely massive difference in all aspects of my life from being able to do simple things without being breathless, to being able to go out and about without feeling unwell and exhausted.

"I would be grateful and thankful beyond words and I would do everything I can to show how much their gift means to me and how grateful I am and what a difference it makes and make sure that they will always be remembered."
