Organ Donation Week 2020: planning underway
We are really excited to confirm that Organ Donation Week is going ahead this September and to announce that planning is now underway. The campaign will take place as planned from Monday 7th – Sunday 13th September 2020.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign will be digitally focused, and will be encouraging stakeholders, partners, local campaigners and colleagues from our organ donation community to support the campaign on their online and social channels.
In terms of local events, we do not know what the government advice on social distancing will be in September, and therefore we are currently unable to support events that encourage large numbers of people to gather. If you are planning events that are social distancing friendly then please contact us at marketing.comms@nhsbt.nhs.uk as we would love to hear and support them.
Thank you as always for your continued support of Organ Donation Week. This year has been unprecedented in its challenges but we are sure that with your support we can still make this an excellent campaign to raise awareness of the change in law on organ donation, to encourage people to make and record a decision about organ donation, and to share that with their families and friends.
